Michelle Cusolito is the award-winning author of Flying Deep: Climb Inside Deep-Sea Submersible Alvin, an NSTA Outstanding Science Trade Book and Kirkus Best Book. She is also the author of the forthcoming companion book, Diving Deep: Using Machines to Explore the Ocean (summer 2022) and a debut middle grade non-fiction, Into the Deep Unknown: Exploring the Ocean Twilight Zone (summer 2023). Before becoming an author, Michelle was a naturalist, National Board Certified elementary school teacher, and adjunct professor at Lesley University’s Graduate School of Education.
