I am a YA Spec Fic Author who has always made a home in multiple cultures. Growing up on various continents as an Army brat in an Immigrant Caribbean home, I loved to read books from all genres and backgrounds, from Fantasy to Contemporary to Mystery and Horror. However, my absolute favorite was Sci-Fi. The only problem: as a young Black man, I never saw my in any of my fantastical heroes. Years later, as a husband and dad in a mixed-race household, my dream is that my boys will not only love books like I do but can identify with their favorite protagonists. I write so that underrepresented kids, especially young Black boys and girls, can see themselves in every type of story imaginable.
